Peer-reviewed study links COVID vaccines to “profound harm,” raises concerns over gain-of-function research

A peer-reviewed study claims that both the SARS-CoV-2 virus and mRNA COVID-19 vaccines exhibit signs of deliberate engineering, potentially breaching international biological weapons treaties. The study, authored by 11 experts, suggests that these interventions have led to severe health crises, including autoimmune disorders and aggressive cancers and calls for an immediate cessation of mRNA vaccine use.
The study argues that SARS-CoV-2 contains genomic anomalies, such as a furin cleavage site that enhances infectivity, which are not found in natural coronaviruses. These features, along with the virus’ mutation patterns, suggest laboratory manipulation rather than natural evolution.

The study highlights alarming post-vaccination health trends, including significant increases in conditions like myocarditis, pulmonary embolism, ovarian dysfunction and aggressive cancers. It also points to reproductive harms, such as increased miscarriages and stillbirths. The authors join other scientists in calling for a complete recall of all COVID-19 vaccines and the criminal prosecution of officials who failed in their duties.
The study’s release coincides with recent U.S. policy changes, such as the FDA’s restriction of COVID-19 vaccines to high-risk groups and the cancellation of nearly $500 million in mRNA vaccine contracts.

A new peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons alleges that both the SARS-CoV-2 virus and mRNA Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines contain features indicative of deliberate engineering, potentially violating international biological weapons treaties.

The paper, authored by 11 scientific and legal experts, argues that these interventions have caused unprecedented health crises – from autoimmune disorders to aggressive cancers – and calls for an immediate halt to mRNA vaccine use.

The findings arrive amid growing scrutiny over gain-of-function research, which enhances pathogens’ transmissibility or lethality, and renewed debate over the origins of COVID-19. The study’s authors claim that key figures, including former White House medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci, obscured evidence pointing to a lab-engineered virus while promoting mass vaccination policies that exacerbated harm.

The study asserts that SARS-CoV-2 displays genomic anomalies not found in natural coronaviruses, including a furin cleavage site that enhances infectivity. These features, the authors argue, suggest laboratory manipulation rather than natural evolution.

“These combined traits, along with the virus’ mutation patterns, are strong evidence that SARS-CoV-2 could not have evolved naturally,” the paper states.

Military scientists cited in the study reportedly described SARS-CoV-2 as an “attractive pathogen” due to its weapon-like characteristics. The authors contend that such modifications violate the 1975 Biological Weapons Convention, which prohibits the development or use of bioweapons.

The paper alleges that Fauci suppressed early concerns about SARS-CoV-2’s unnatural origins. It references a February 2020 teleconference in which virologists reportedly expressed doubts about the virus’ zoonotic (natural) origin – concerns that were later dismissed in favor of the “Proximal Origin” paper, which became a cornerstone of mainstream COVID-19 narratives.

“The deliberate concealment of critical genomic features delayed public awareness and pandemic mitigation efforts, potentially allowing wider spread and more deaths,” the study claims.

The authors also highlight Project DEFUSE, a rejected 2018 proposal by EcoHealth Alliance and Wuhan Institute of Virology researchers that sought to engineer coronaviruses with enhanced infectivity – features eerily similar to those found in SARS-CoV-2. Despite EcoHealth’s suspension from federal funding last year, the study argues that U.S. officials failed to disclose the full scope of gain-of-function research collaborations with China.

Spike protein linked to long-term health risks

The study cites alarming post-vaccination health trends, including spikes in myocarditis (151.4 percent), pulmonary embolism (43.6 percent), ovarian dysfunction (34.9 percent) and aggressive cancers. Military data reportedly show persistent elevations in these conditions years after vaccination campaigns began. “Prolonged protein expression, exemplified by S1 spike protein detection more than 700 days post-COVID vaccination, underscores the potential for irreversible harm,” the paper warns.

Reproductive harms – such as increased miscarriages and stillbirths – are also highlighted, with data drawn from Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and Pfizer’s own post-marketing surveillance reports.

The study’s authors join a growing chorus of scientists demanding an immediate halt to mRNA vaccine distribution. Dr. Irene Mavrakakis, a co-author, called for a “complete recall of all COVID-19 vaccines” and criminal prosecution of officials who “failed in their duties.”

Senior research scientist at Children’s Health Defense Karl Jablonowski warned that gain-of-function research poses “extreme risk” to humanity. “Labs can and do leak,” he said. “One singular event at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in late 2019 caused innumerable suffering and death.”

The study’s release coincides with recent U.S. policy shifts.
